This is what I’ve been up to lately:

I’ve been building a custom 28-fret AE5 Swallow Acoustic/Electric 5-string bass for left coast bassist Ryan Kotler.  Body photo is in an earlier stage of construction, and full instrument shot is when it was final sanded and recently sent off to finishing.

This instrument has a 3” thick hollow body made of Honduras Mahogany with a Cedar top, fingerboard of East Indian Rosewood.The electronics will be multiple piezos under my intonation-adjustable Rosewood Bridge, and one of my custom-blended hum bucking pickups in the sound hole, all with active eq.
