I first met Steve at a Phil Jones event in New Jersey we have since become friends. He’s a wonderful player and educator. He is now playing a hybrid AE4 (Acoustic/Electric 4-string bass). It is a cross between my AE4 and AE4 Swallow. It is x-braced like the Swallow, and has one Citron custom blended humbucking pickup in the sound hole, with controls on the upper horn.
